2008-07-31 Kalm Chart Prototype

So, I have this little project to keep track of some stuff for an online community. The exisiting system was a kluge, with more man hours and work arounds than needed, and recently there have been complications associated with it. I figured it would be a good thing for me to prototype someting up. It is not big enough to necessitate a database, so I'm working and xml route for ease of editing and parsing. It has potential for extensibility for future use, and based on initial reception, I may have the opportunity do go that step further. I'll keep you updated on how it turns out.

So for those who haven't heard from word of mouth or other source, I have the pictures from out honeymoon up. The rest of the content is lacking, but hey, something is better than nothing right? I hope to get something in the works soon enough.

I've Finally Done It.

I've bit the bullet and got myself a domain - Amiable Simplicity. My goals for this site are basic in principle: create a simple but usable design from what I learn so that the typical user can navigate and extrude the information I'm trying to present. Tougher than it looks as it's easier to tell a user what to do rather than rely on their intuition. The path is long, so we shall see what happens!
